Airport Shopping at Kuala Lumpur LCCT and KLIA
There are plenty of shops, and signs about tax-free goods abound, but there are few bargains to be had, especially when it comes to electrical or audio-visual goods and brand-name items. At the same time, though, if you are on your way home and you need to get rid of that foreign currency there are temptations in the way of gourmet chocolates, liquor and perfumes.
At the KLIA (Kuala Lumpur International Airport) on the departure level you can find shops selling gifts and souvenirs, chocolates, perfumes, a pharmacy, a body shop retail outlet, along with books and magazines.
At the KL LCCT (low Cost Carrier Terminal) you can find a couple of shops selling books and magazines, chocolates, some souveniers, The Body Shop retail outlet, and some general merchandise stores selling travel accessories (pillows, adapters, etc.) and currency exchange services.
In the international departure area at LCCT there are some more stores selling perfumes, chocolates, jewellery, books and also a pharmacy.
Update: LCCT has been replaced by KLIA2, read our current review here
