National Zoo of Malaysia

The Negara Zoo, or National Zoo of Malaysia, has been slowly growing and evolving since it’s inception in 1963 and now provides a diverse array or wildlife for all to admire.

Popular attractions include the giant pandas from China, giraffes, the tigers, and of course the elephants. Other exhibits include the ape centre, bear complex, Australian plain featuring emus and kangaroos, reptile house, bird aviary, penguins, hippopotamus, cat walk (which inc. white Bengal tigers), mammal kingdom and much more.

  • Houses over 5137 specimens from 476 species of mammals, birds, reptiles, amphibians and fish.

Open: daily from 9.00am to 5pm

Ticket Cost: RM85, discounts available for children, seniors, people from Asean countries and Malaysians. Group discounts offered for groups of 20.

Getting there: Take the LRT Kelana Jaya Line to Wangsa Maju Station, from there take a taxi (about 9 minutes).
